Shelby worked at Octiv, Inc. for four years out of college. She was an account manager the first two years, and she was the company’s Office & Community Engagement Manager for the last two. She enjoyed coordinating the company’s volunteering, events, and office celebrations. She now teaches elementary Spanish at Greenwood Christian School.
She grew up as a competitive gymnast at Wright’s, and then cheered from middle school through her first year of college at Butler University. Shelby choreographed Whiteland’s varsity cheerleading squad’s winning Mid State routines for two years. In high school, Shelby was dance captain and president of Whiteland’s competitive show choir. This will be her fifth year as William Henry Harrison High School’s show choir choreographer. She has also done show choir choreography for Whiteland, Perry, Owen Valley, and Mt. Vernon schools. Zumba has always been a passion of hers, and she is thrilled to be teaching it for the first time this year at Stage I.
Shelby has a love for music and enjoys playing the piano, guitar, and singing in her church’s praise team. She is married to her high school sweetheart, Tony, and the two welcomed their first daughter, Avery, in November of 2016.
